Comfy Cat Haven is a calm, home-based boarding environment designed to feel safe, quiet, and comfortable—never like a traditional facility.
We offer two types of spaces within our home:
Yes. Every cat (or cat family) is provided with their own enclosed area to rest and feel secure during their stay.
Cats staying in our Main Home Spaces have 24/7 access to shared areas of the home, allowing for natural exploration and a more home-like environment alongside us. Cats in the Guest Suite enjoy the privacy of their own enclosed room.
Yes, this is something we truly prioritize. We provide daily updates with photos, videos, and messages so you can stay connected while you’re away.
Yes. We’re happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so you can get familiar with the space and feel comfortable before your cat’s stay.
While we are not home 24/7, we maintain work schedules with very different schedules, which helps minimize overlapping time away from home.
On some days, cats may be in their own private spaces for periods of up to about 8 hours, typically limited to no more than 3 days per week. During these times, your cat remains in a separate, secure, and comfortable environment with everything they need.
We also have security cameras for remote check-ins, allowing us to monitor your cat while we are away. Outside of these periods, we prioritize time for feeding, cleaning, and attentive care.
By default, cats from different households are kept in their own private spaces and are not required to interact.
For families who are open to it, we offer an optional, fully supervised socialization experience. This is only considered if both owners provide consent, the cats are fully-vaccinated, flea-treated, and neutered/spayed, and if the cats appear compatible based on temperament and behavior.
Any interaction is introduced gradually, closely monitored, and immediately stopped at any sign of stress. We always prioritize your cat’s comfort, safety, and individual preferences.
We take a thoughtful and structured approach when considering any interaction.
For many of our returning guests, we’re already familiar with their personalities, energy levels, and past behavior, which helps us identify which cats may be a good match.
If both cats are new, we begin by observing each cat individually—looking at factors such as confidence level, body language, curiosity, and response to new environments. If appropriate, we may start with brief, controlled introductions at a distance, allowing the cats to see or sense each other without direct contact.
Any progression beyond that is gradual and fully supervised, and we only continue if both cats remain calm and comfortable. At any sign of stress or hesitation, we stop immediately.
All socialization is optional and guided entirely by each cat’s comfort level.
That’s completely okay—and very common. We give shy or anxious cats the time and space they need to adjust at their own pace, without any pressure to interact.
You always have the option of declining socialization with other parties. Our goal is to create a calm, predictable environment where your cat can feel safe and comfortable.
Absolutely. Many of our guests prefer a fully private, low-stress stay, and we fully respect that. If you prefer no interaction, your cat will remain in their own space throughout their visit.
We recommend booking early, as we are often fully booked 1–2 months in advance—especially during holidays and busy travel periods.
We accept credit/debit (via Square), Zelle, and cash for all bookings.
To reserve your cat’s stay, a deposit is required:
The remaining balance is due at drop-off.
Deposits allow us to hold your cat’s space and ensure availability for your requested dates.
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to keep our policy clear and fair while reserving dedicated space for each guest.
Once a stay has begun, the reserved time is held exclusively for your cat and is non-refundable. This policy allows us to fairly manage availability while ensuring each reserved space is held specifically for your cat.
Drop-offs and pick-ups are typically scheduled between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
If you need an earlier drop-off, we may ask that you book the night before to ensure a smooth transition.
We are located in North Orange County near Katella Ave and Beach Blvd.
For our privacy and safety, the exact address is shared after booking confirmation.
We require cats to be up to date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations to ensure the safety of all guests.
Yes. We require all cats to have a flea preventative applied at least 7 days prior to their stay.
This helps maintain a clean, comfortable environment for all guests and reduces the risk of introducing fleas into the home.
If fleas are found during your cat’s stay, your cat will be temporarily separated to prevent spread and treated with appropriate flea care (such as a flea bath and/or topical and/or oral treatment). Owners will be notified, and any associated treatment costs may apply.
Yes, we can administer oral medications (liquid or pill) for an additional fee ($5/night, inclusive of all medications).
At this time, we are not able to provide injections or subcutaneous fluids
We are American Red Cross Pet First Aid certified and can provide basic care if needed.
We also use kitty-safe shampoo and cleaning supplies in case your cat gets soiled during travel or while with us.
In the event of an emergency or concerning symptoms, we will immediately make multiple attempts contact you and keep you involved in your cat’s care. In the event that we are unable to reach you, we will prioritize your cat's well-being and will utilize our local urgent/emergency rooms to get your kitty prompt care.
We take extra precautions to keep all cats secure. Our home has controlled entry points, and we are especially mindful with escape-prone cats—ensuring doors are secured before any transitions. Our windows are fitted with secure screens that are fixed and cannot be opened.
Please bring your cat’s regular food, favorite treats, and any medications they may need.
You’re also encouraged to bring familiar items like a blanket, toy, or something with your scent to help your cat feel more at home.
We provide everything else, including litter boxes, litter, bowls, bedding, toys, scratchers, cat trees, and air filtration.
Yes. We’re happy to follow your cat’s specific feeding schedule, portioning, and dietary needs.
We have automatic wet and dry feeders in case your kitty has a specific/more frequent feeding routine.
Whether your cat eats wet food, dry food, raw, or a combination, we do our best to keep their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and settled during their stay.
